más información : An "E1" service error Condition in an Epson DFX-85000, is a Carriage Motor short circuit. Normally the isolation resistance is too low, causing the "E1" condition. Because its a Fatal Error, the printer automatically shuts off after 12 seconds. After the auto shutoff occurs, you must wait for over 5 minutes to turn the printer back on. If you turn on the printer, in under 5 minutes, it adds another 5 minutes to the waiting period...Generally, an "E1" indicates that the Carriage Motor is failing and needs to be replaced. It requires a lot of in-depth disassembly, before you can even get to the carriage motor and you would probably need a Service Manual to use as a reference for disassembly and troubleshooting. For someone not framiliar with the disassembly and removal of the Carriage Assembly/Paper feed Assembly/inner frame assembly, its quite a job to do...At this point, about the only thing you could even do, is to clean and lubricate the round metal carriage bar/shaft, that the Printhead Assembly travels back and forth on. Also clean the brass type bushings on both sides of the printhead assy, that the bar passes thru. After cleaning, lubricate the bar with just a couple drops of teflon or silicone based lubricant, on both sides of the printhead assembly. Then slide the printhead assembly left and right to spread out the lubrication. Wipe off any additional blackish looking substance that may get on the bar from inside the bushings. Do not over lube, as it will just attract dirt and dust, causing another build-up...Directly under the printhead assembly, is a long plastic Encoder Strip/Sensor Strip, that is positioned just below the carriage bar and runs from right to left just like the carriage bar. That encoder strip runs thru a sensor mounted on the bottom side of the Printhead assembly. Sometimes that encoder strip gets knocked out of the sensor and causes problems. If you move the printhead assy to the far right and use a flashlight, you can see the sensor and wether the strip is in the correct position or not...Good Luck! |
